In the second half of 2022, CranioCatch made significant advancements in AI-based dental imaging technologies. Following a successful fundraising campaign on Fonbulucu, which raised ₺1,260,000 from 1,039 investors, the company focused on expanding its data infrastructure, partnerships, and international reach.
One of the major milestones was the expansion of its annotated dental image database, which now contains over 450,000 images and 1.5 million labels, supported by collaborations with experts from 8 international and 17 national universities. The company launched the CranioPodcast series on Spotify and YouTube, participated in multiple scientific congresses as a speaker and sponsor, and initiated a university ambassador program with 15 student representatives.
In terms of business development, CranioCatch established strategic collaborations with several dental clinics across Istanbul, Sakarya, and Ankara. Notably, it signed a data-sharing agreement with Jordan University of Science and Technology and integrated its software with platforms developed by MergenTech and TRtek. A key partnership was formed with a French unicorn in dental technology, with discussions focusing on joint R&D and potential exit opportunities.
Operationally, the company expanded its team to 14 members, opened online sales through its website, and began demo usage at Nuh Naci Yazgan University and Lokman Hekim University. Internationally, it held acquisition talks with Harris Computer (Canada) and began partnership discussions with a confidential California-based tech firm.
CranioCatch also received a ₺211,512 grant from KOSGEB for R&D and applied to four EU projects including WomenTechEU and HosmartAI. The company was featured in top dental publications and startup platforms like BAYER Digital Health Map and TECHANKARA.
